Our room was exceptionally large, comfortable and both modern and traditional. It included a small zen garden and a beautiful hot bath. The top level Buddhist food was both plentiful and delicious. Wifi was good. Rooms were very clean. Keep in mind this is a traditional Japanese hotel and you have to remove shoes everywhere you go. The meditation session was short, but informative. Everything I needed was there. Joining in the meditation and listening to the morning chanting was restful. It was in a great spot, close to the road but calm and peaceful inside. The village is spectacular and this property offers dinner and breakfast so you can enjoy the surroundings and not worry about food.
