It was much bigger than I had anticipated, offering spacious and comfortable accommodations that made me feel right at home. The attention to detail in the design and decor was impressive, blending seamlessly with the breathtaking surroundings. It truly felt like a cozy oasis nestled amidst the stunning natural wonders of the Lofoten Islands. However, what truly set this place apart was the warmth and hospitality of the hosts. From the very first greeting, they went above and beyond to ensure my stay was unforgettable. They were incredibly friendly, accommodating, and passionate about sharing their love for the Lofoten Islands. Their local insights and recommendations made my trip even more special, allowing me to explore hidden spots and experience authentic Lofoten culture. But it was the views that stole the show. "Spectacular" doesn't even begin to describe the vistas that greeted me each morning. Imagine waking up to the sight of majestic snow-capped peaks, mirrored in crystal-clear fjords that sparkled like diamonds. The ever-changing colors of the sky during sunrise and sunset were nothing short of magical, painting the landscape with a palette of hues that left me in awe. Whether I was sipping coffee on the balcony or enjoying a meal indoors, I couldn't get enough of the breathtaking scenery. The living room / kitchen area is very nice (only shared with one other double room) and we enjoyed dinner with mountain view. The shower is great, everything is very clean and even laundry would have been included. The owner is superfriendly, very helpful and allowed us to hang our soaked tent outside.

We wish we had stayed longer! Great value for money, with a convenient location and amenities. Easy to reach by both bus and car, with parking available. Located in a quaint fishing village in Ballstad, it offers traditional rorbu cabins. We stayed in cabin no. 2, which was homely and cozy. The newly renovated bathroom was a nice touch, and the spacious common kitchen and dining area had basic amenities, so if you want to cook food by yourselves, you have almost everything you need. It's a great place to meet other travelers. We visited during the cold month of February, and the owner had heaters in every room, keeping us warm despite the cold weather outside. Free towels were a bonus. The owner is friendly and loves to chat, making the stay even more enjoyable. Perfectly situated near famous beaches like Haukland and Uttakleiva, and only a short drive from Leknes city center. Highly recommended!

We chose this place to celebrate Christmas and it was undoubtedly the best decision. Despite the shorter days and darker times, we still enjoyed the spectacular view from the house's large windows. The house impressed us with its cleanliness and the comprehensive range of facilities provided. While we noticed the absence of a kettle, boiling water in a pot proved to be an adequate solution. The owners were proactive, providing all the necessary information well in advance and maintaining constant contact. The thoughtful Christmas sweet treat was a delightful bonus. The surrounding area is picturesque, enhancing our overall experience. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

    This place has a great atmosphere that seems to keep up the old-time fishing spirit. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and included a small kitchen and bathroom. To our surprise it even had a little terrace where one could look over the bay. We however chose to sit at the bar terrace as it had some amazing woodwork of eagles and fishes and a bunch of fish drying in the salty air. Definitely a recommendation if you are looking for an authentic experience in a small fishing village in Lofoten.

    Beautiful cabins. The owner is lovely and always ready to help. We got to set up a bbq and he let us use the rowing boat to go to the centre of the fisherman village. Also some really beautiful hikes near the cabin.

    The robru was extremely well equipped. Everything you needed seemed to be there. The view across the water was lovely whether from the outside patio or from the rooms that looked that direction. Ballstad is a lovely village to be based in as it's a working environment, with normal life going on around you. It also has a small supermarket, cafe, and a choice of good restaurants. We highly recommend!
