You couldn’t wish for better hosts and room/ garden / kitchen facilities / location and maybe I was lucky but all the other guests ( maximum of 12 ,at a time ) were amazing people . My 10 days were making great new friends , very kind and genuine people seem to gravitate to this beautiful hotel . You will see monkeys in the trees and wake to their howls & the bird life and that’s it , no road noise , leisurely coffee and breakfast then onto your day :) Absolutely faultless , highly highly recommend . The location is great, very close to restaurants and the beach but also quiet. It's nice to have a living room + kitchen and balconies. Beds were comfortable + AC in the bedrooms is enjoyable. This was one of our multiple stays in Costa Rica, and we were truly impressed. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-equipped. Above all, the Refugio concept — which includes a beautiful café and a cozy bar offering excellent food and drinks — truly exceeded our expectations. Unlike at other accommodations, we didn't have to eat Gallo Pinto for breakfast every day, but could instead choose from a wide variety of delicious brunch options directly from the restaurant/bar. The staff were friendly and always ready to help with anything we needed — from arranging surf lessons to recommending great local restaurants. We were mainly in touch with Augustin, who took excellent care of us. Overall, we were delighted with our stay and can highly recommend this place.

We loved everything about our stay at La Caravana! The location couldn't be more perfect -- right across from Playa Carrillo -- and Kris and Guillermo are the MOST fabulous hosts. They have created a chic and comfortable oasis in one of the most beautiful parts of Costa Rica. They have thought of every details and go above and beyond to make sure that your stay is wonderful. Think of this as "glamping" with lots of extra bells and whistles and creature comforts. Can't recommend highly enough!
