We stayed two night in this guesthouse and we would highly recommend it to others. It was easy to check in with instructions sent to us before we arrived. Since we were visiting in the beginning of april it was lovely that the room was already heated for us when we arrived. The place was so cosy - there was water, coffee, tea, a little snacks and even several kinds of toiletries and extra travel toothbrushes for those in need. Just extraordinary. The bed was comfortable and the room had everything we needed. The bathroom was modern and had a good shower. The sourroundings are beautiful and when you step outside the mountains tower above you. It's a 5 minutes walk down to the most cozy town with plenty of eateries and friendly people. As many other people has written: Don't trust the Google maps directions, because it takes you in on a super steep road. Instead drive the lesser steep road by using these coordinates: 39.710082,21.616435. We hope to stay there again.

Monastiri Guesthouse offers a variety of tastefully decorated rooms, most with wooden floors, ceilings, hand-painted frescoes and stone walls. We had a very large unit on the main floor, the bed was comfortable. They had an excellent breakfast with a large selection. It was a 5 minute walk to the main street which had a large selection of restaurants and stores. The receptionist was really helpful and laid out where the monasteries were located and how to approach visiting them (which was very helpful). She also referred us to a very fine restaurant where we enjoyed one of our finer meals in Greece. Had the train been working (the floods prevented that), it would have been 1 minute to walk from the train station to the hotel. Location is very good.

The place is amazing. Christos is an amazing host. Excellent communication and fast to respond. Almost 360 degrees views of the town. Everything was great, but it is important for the guests to make sure they check the hot water tank is on. Do that immediately so you ensure hot water is available, especially if the apartment has been empty as it is electric so you need some time to warm up. If you ensure that you will love the place.
