Everything was faultless. The location within the quiet UNESCO village was fantastic. The building had real character. The owners were super friendly and extremely welcoming. The meals were exceptional consisting of a whole range of fresh local ingredients prepared to a kaiseki standard. The futon was very comfortable with an added mattress beneath. We felt completely at home. This place is well worth the money. The highlight of our 10 day Hokuriku trip.

I loved my stay at Takazuri Kita! Kota and his family were super friendly and patient with me trying to speak some Japanese. The place is comfortable with several places to hang out and a small kitchen to cook. And the nature surrounding the guesthouse is beautiful. One day I took the bus to Shirakawa-go. The other days I walked to several other villages (takes about an hour, but I enjoyed the walk)

The peace and quiet of this very special village. Room was comfortable and meals were excellent. Host was lovely and very welcoming.

The owners were both super nice, the food was delicious (and they made vegetarian food too!) Kuni san was great to talk to and explained a lot about the history of the village, and the house was super traditional and interesting. Comfortable bed and bath.

A very basic ryokan that is a good solution for those visiting the gasso villages and who want to stay overnight in the area. Onsen was nice.

Nice place to see both the Gassho villages and drive to Kanazawa for a day trip. Big outdoor bath.

The house is in a beautiful peaceful little village with magnificent mountain scenery. The landlady was nice. The Japanese-style dinner and breakfast were delicious.

Great staff and traditional Japanese atmosphere, the breakfast and dinner were traditional Japanese style with a wonderful spread of foods. The host was extremely friendly and helpful in getting me to the Shirakawa-go village and explaining the area. Also, even though I was late to check in, they still had dinner prepared for me. There is also an onsen you can use, and the views are amazing from this place. The Kotatsu in my room was so beautiful and addictive you didn't want to leave.

Host provides very good service. You can order local sake with dinner. Ainokura is a small charming village with its own unique culture.

It is our second time there! :) The hosts are super nice and they took care of all of us. We felt very well looked after! The guesthouse is located some minutes driving to Ainokura old village and it is so beautiful. You can trully feel the spirit of traditional Japan there :) I remembered they offered snacks, but I didn't know it was possible to have dinner too. I would like to try it next time! :) The three snacks we ordered (popcorn, grape and nut cake and bear ham) were delicious :)
