Delft Village stay se nachází v destinaci Delft East a nabízí kola zdarma, zahradu, terasu a výhled do zahrady. It was very nice place. I was even upgraded with the better option. Slept in a tent. There was a mosquito tent in the bed also. So it was very useful. Even though the weather before my visit was very wet, in the tent it felt dry and comfortable. There was enough space in the tent and around. It was the feeling like living in small village. The owner was very friendly and supportive. It was amazing to meet other travelers and have meals and games together. We met there New Year’s night. Had a fire and played games till the midnight to go for the new year’s bonfire. I am very thankful. The stay was amazing and the island is also very beautifully. Real nature sanctuary. If I will be back definitely come here.

We loved the location, with its easy walk to the temple and proximity to town. However, the highlight of our stay was undoubtedly Mr. Haran's exceptional hospitality. It was truly like visiting relatives.

Allen, as mentioned over and over in other reviews, is the best host EVER. This kind of people makes the difference when traveling like we do, where the main goal is to enjoy the culture and people, as much as the places we visit. Allen went way beyond expectations on helping us with whatever we may need (from train schedules, arranging a great driver for a day-long tour, giving us recommendations for local places, to taking his bike and buying us some cold beers after hours, or getting up to prepare us an unusually early morning breakfast to go, due to our very early schedule), overall making us feel like his true guests despite the commercial relationship. Well-travelled, Jaffna-native but with many years in Europe, Allen is the kind of person that you hope you have more time to get to know better, and that will remain as a highlight of any trip. The property is his own home, where you rent some rooms. It is a very quiet spot in a green and shady compound in a cul-de-sac, a great respite from some of the Jaffna frenzy. Located a quick 5-min. tuk-tuk ride from the train station, it is also near the main Hindu temple of the city, a couple of blocks away. The room we rented had its own exclusive bathroom, but crossing the living room. There was another room with a full private bathroom, not available at the time. The house has a quaint feeling, very cozy and clean. The AC in the room worked fine and it was very welcomed. Breakfast was great, abundant and tasty, prepared by Allen on the spot.

Great rooms, service, grea, great food in the restaurant, crab curry. Very authentic, quiet, relaxing place in bustling city. I think it’s the best place to stay in Jaffna.

I booked this place for my parents and they loved their stay at Berty’s cottage. The owners handled everything easily and the meals were arranged well. They even arranged a tuk tuk for my parents for a reasonable price to go everywhere in Jaffna. My parents were more than satisfied.

Very helpfull owner, she aranged everything what I needed( scooter, hena painting, tuk tuk, food…) Comfortable bed, big and clean room, kitchen and teras to the garden. Good location at calm place. I really recomend this guest house!!! I would come back again. 👍😁
