The family helped us arrange a tuktuk in the early hours for the hike up Pidurangala Rock and recommended visiting Sigiriya Rock for sunset, which was amazing. The cottage was comfortable, the pool fantastic on these hot, sultry December days, and the wildlife amazing: monkeys, peacocks, and nearby elephants which we glimpsed in the dark. Best of all was the delicious home-cooked Sri Lankan food, and the kind and friendly family. It is a little way out of the village but this is easily accessed by tuktuk. It is Aldo nice and quiet. Highly recommended.

I honestly cannot say enough good things about this family and my entire stay. The owner made everything unbelievably easy. He arranged a my pick up from a very early morning flight from Colombo, set up a safari for me literally an hour after I arrived, and even organized my ride to my next stop in Kandy. He was so kind and understanding right from the start. I hadn’t exchanged money yet and he didn’t want to miss the chance to go on the safari, so he lent me the money until I could pay him back. Gestures like that are so rare and genuinely meant a lot!!! Safari at minneriya national park was one of the greatest experiences. Such a sweet and kind guide (set-up by the owner so have him do it for you!!) picked up/dropped off at the hotel. We saw over 40 elephants. It was spectacular and so much fun! Breakfast was fantastic, and they were incredibly accommodating with food in general. When I arrived, I was welcomed with a cup of tea and some snacks, and every breakfast afterward was delicious. It was also lovely chatting with the owner’s wife—she’s such a joyful, warm person and has the most beautiful garden. The room itself was good it had everything you need. It had a mini fridge stocked with water and pop at very affordable prices, which was super convenient. The walk to Sigiriya Rock was very close I think it took me 30 minutes to the entrance and 15 from the exit. You can take a tuk-tuk if you want, the owner will book it. The main street is about a 10 minute walk. Just a heads-up that it gets quite dark at night, so I have a flash light ready for when you go to dinner. I also want to give a huge shoutout to the owner’s son, who drove me twice. He was so sweet, helpful, and full of great information. Something he said really stuck with me—he mentioned that for them, it’s not about the money, it’s about the people. And you can truly feel that in the way they treat you. People first, always.

When we informed host about infant with us he was mindful to arrange milk during the stay. It’s a chill place but we couldn’t enjoy because of rain. Breakfast is amazing.

Loved hearing the birds singing all the time. - cool swimming pool - clean and new room, spacious (we stayed in one of the little houses). - nice breakfast and dinner (we had rice and curry). - very helpful. Arranged for us the Safari.

Pidurangala View Treehouse se nachází v destinaci Sigiriya, nedaleko od zajímavých míst jako Pidurangala Rock, a nabízí zahradu, terasu a balkon s výhledem na hory. We loved the stay where it was set - it was in the back of a house in a farm owned by a very warm family with 2 cute children. Very rustic and raw setting, exactly what we wanted. It felt like we are staying in a forest amidst the trees and forest life. The hosts are really lovely people. They were warm in every interaction. Every step of the way, they interacted very warmly with us and even dropped us at the town once for free. They dropped us back into the down at the time of check out. Provided delicious food even at short notice. The food was exceptional. I was blown away by the taste. We were served Traditional Sri Lankan meals for Dinner and Breakfast for 2 days. We loved every bit of it. This is exactly what we missed during our previous stays and was extremely satisfying and gratifying to eat tasty and local food from a warm family. We also loved that a young girl from the hosts family explained us the food of what it is and how we should eat them prior to our meal. Very cute! Bathroom was really good. We loved that there are many plants inside the bathroom. We strongly believe that many Indian families (especially couples) will love this stay.

The staff was so friendly and welcoming, the location is perfect. Delicious traditional breakfast with juices, comfy beds and a very clean room. It has a beautiful garden too.

Pearl's Homestay Matale nabízí zahradu, terasu a pokojovou službu. Nákupní centrum Kandy City Center je 27 km odtud. It's a lovely homestay with kind owners. The breakfast is really yummy. If you're staying in Matale, I highly recommend this place.

Sigiriya Paradise Treehouse poskytuje zahradu, terasu a bankomat. Sigiriya skála je 2,3 km odtud. Very cute treehouse!! Very clean inside as well and the host and his family were extremely friendly :)
