Vale de São Torcato Hotel Rural is situated in Guimarães, 4.3 km from the iconic Guimarães Castle. Truly boutique, perfect design of rooms and common spaces. Beutiful courtyard, indoor swimming pool, beautiful paintings and other artifacts everywhere. Very nice surroundings. It's totally worth the price

This place is amazing. very friendly staff (we dont speak portugese and they didnt speak english but were extremely friendly) excellent price for a great room and view from our balcony. Great free breakfast and lots of parking. You have a view of the lake and the vineyard on the property. has a nice pool but was too cold for swimming. there is a great grocery store only about a 10 min drive from the hotel. would highly recommend.

Samuel met us at the apartment, gave us the keys, showed us around and gave helpful advice about parking. Exceptionally clean apartment that was well furnished. Functional kitchen. Excellent location just outside the old city, so less noise, no tourists, but easy access to sites and good restaurants. Public parking ramp VERY convenient and inexpensive just a 2 minute walk down the street. Great coffee and pastries 3 doors down.

The adult sons all spoke English well, so communication was good. They were all so proud of their Agroturismo and gave us a tour, telling a bit about their family history. We were served an appetizer soon after arrival, which included wine from their vineyard. We had a huge breakfast with a number of homemade specialties, in fact way more than we could eat!
