The location was great as a base for visiting Yosemite, around 1 hour by car from the entrance of the park. Margaret and Charlie were exceptional hosts who made us feel right at home. Their warm welcome and helpful tips on what to see in Yosemite made our visit even more enjoyable. The room and bathroom were spotless, clean and spacious. The bed especially was super comfortable after a long day of hiking. Having traveled much around the world, this stay offered some of the best value and hospitality we’ve ever experienced. We would absolutely stay here again on our next trip to the Yosemite area!

Everything I needed & more was in the cottage. The main bed is super comfy. I had easy access to each of the patio areas & enjoyed having my coffee & breakfast on the patio with the outdoor tubs (not functioning on my visit). The cottage is the perfect spot to stay while visiting the area. I was there to hike & see a little of Joshua Tree National Park. While Hilary was right next door, if I needed assistance, I was provided total privacy. The hot tub was fabulous to soak in at the end of the day & a great spot to stargaze. Big Sur Campground and Cabins is a 3-star property located in Big Sur. The property features mountain and river views. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. I just loved the wood cabin surrounded by giant redwoods. The cabin was so well equipped and so comfortable. Tubing (free tube rental) was such fun. Great to have individual fire pits and outdoor seating. We struggled to light the firewood so maybe some extra fire-lighting supplies would be useful

It looked exactly like the photos, if not better. The bed was incredibly comfortable and of high quality, as were the linens and towels. The hairdryer was excellent, and the large brand-new TV. The location was also very convenient and strategic for getting around. Highly recommended!
