Located on historic Duval Street, this historic Key West bed and breakfast is 700 metres from Ernest Hemingway’s House and the beach. This inn features a small outdoor pool, continental breakfast buffet, and free WiFi. From the moment we arrived everyone was so courteous and helpful. The whole place was so clean. Breakfast was good and as I eat a vegan diet staff helped me find what I could and could not eat, reading through labels! Avalon is located right at the end on the quieter end of the street, so we visited the bars etc...then left all the noise behind! Just a minute from the beach, perfect spot!! Such a nice vibe in the town. Our only complaint - we were only here for one night. We could have easily spent days in Key West, and especially Avalon, but time didn’t allow us that, we were just on a short overnighter on the motorcycle! Would return (for longer) in a heartbeat.

Despite the small size of the bathroom, 4 people could share it because of the many shelves and hangers, very rare in most hotels.

Complimentary WiFi is provided for all guests. Smathers Beach is 4.5 km away. Very close to all the action. This hotel is in an old building which is full of character, we had a four poster bed. Could use the pool anytime, towel and sun cream available to use, in a tropical garden. Lou made a delicious breakfast, made to order. This was like staying with friends. Would love to stay again.
