Hotels that guests love in El Calafate
  • Budget stay. Ok. Little outdated. Very friendly staff. Clean! Good shower! Good stay for a good price.

  • During our trip we came back three times at the hostel and we felt at home everytime. Staff is great, very kind and helpful! We booked a double with private bathroom and was ok, warm and well equipped. We enjoyed even the restaurant connected with the hostel, preparing simple but well-done meals at a cheap price. Absolutely recommended when in El Calafate.

  • Cheap for El Calafate, relatively close to town. Does the job as you'll only ever need two nights max in El Calafate. I would love to see what the staff eat for breakfast as they certainly wouldn't eat what they dish up for guests and after all reviews since 2015 about the pathetic food - I don't understand why they don't make small changes as this is the only thing it falls short on.

  • The hotel was quite luxurious, although perhaps not more so than a few other fancy places in town. The beds were super comfy, the welcome drinks were delicious (not just the usual lemonade), and the restaurant was good and cheap enough to attract many of the hotel residents including us. Their empanadas were delicious, and so was their seafood. We made good use of their evening shuttle service back and forth to town -- they did not try to trap you into eating at the hotel restaurant.

  • Central location and the staff were wonderful. Bookings through the front desk for excursions and onward travel made my life very easy, especially considering my Spanish is minimal. Kitchen is practical enough to work with. A budget hostel. Price was the draw but I went back twice more for the fantastic staff.
