“We have stayed at a number of Ibis budget hotels in the past and had a good idea of what to expect. Boy, were we in for a surprise!! For some reason the room we had was huge (in comparison to Ibis budget standards). Very, very clean and comfortable. Staff were polite and helpful. The location is great with a bus stop just outside the hotel. Bus rides are free for tourists and takes only about 7 minutes to get to the city centre. Theres a great view of the mountains from just behind the hotel. Really enjoyed our stay here.”
“Excellent location. Fantastic staff. Spotless room, lovely and warm and exceptionally quiet (traveled over the Christmas break). A very good buffet breakfast. Located in the old city ad easy to walk to all of the sights. park the car somewhere quick and get a ticket from the Hotel for 15CHF for 24 hours in a specific car park. That is the the best deal.”
“The rooms were small, but if you have a limited budget this should be your first choice. Location was very good, 10 mins walk from the station. The bus stop was a min from the hotel. There is a superstore next to the Hotel which is way cheaper than the COOP or MIGROS at the station.”
“We liked the quirky decor - we had the Egyptian room at the top of the building, looking out into Kornmarkt. It was a good size, very clean and comfortable. The tea/coffee machine was a bonus. The hotel's location is ideal.”
“this is an inexpensive place to stay in Lucerne for those on a budget. It is as it says a seminar house with a few dorm style rooms. Rooms are quite small but it has to be expected for the price. You have to share a bathroom and shower with other guests. These are cleaned several times a day, always spotless and never any queues. parking on site was available and we were given free bus passes to get into town, so saved us a lot of time, money and effort negotiating car parking and city driving.”
