Cheap hotels in Mutianyu Village

The host was incredibly friendly and helpful. She called us when we got lost, found us, picked us up, and dropped us off at the Mutianyu Great Wall entrance. The entrance to the Great Wall is a 5 minute walk from the hotel and very easy to get to. If you get up early you can beat the crowds from Beijing who arrive around 9:00 am. We had the Great Wall almost to ourselves! Breakfast was Chinese style and excellent. They also make great dinner upon request. The host was quick to respond to any of the requests we had. Rooms have recently been constructed and are clean and spacious.

First of all, the owner is really helpful and friendly. The location is great, just a few minutes to the Mutianyu Great Wall main entrance. The room is good with mountain views. The food at the guesthouse is tasty 😋 The owner helped us book the ticket and drop-off at the main entrance. After we came back from the great Great Wall, the owner also pick up us at the main entrance back to homestay. They are very kind, allowed us to use their kitchen facilities (we cooked thai food), and we had so much fun conversations with the owner in the kitchen. I saw many cooking techniques from her, really skillful 👍👍 She cooked Gong pao chicken, fried rice and stir-fried tomatoes with eggs for our dinner. I really love it, it was a tasty local food. And the food is more yummy when we can connect to local people and feel all local senses. The next morning, she cooked dumpling with eggs and vegetables for us....yessss it was yummy 😋. Upon checkout, she walked to the bus stop with us and waited until the bus arrived, I really appreciated it. Pity, this time I stay here only one night. I definitely come back to this place as I have a plan to visit Jian Kou great wall. And of course, I will stay at this Homestay again. Thank you so much for such an amazing hospitality. The hotel is excellent, the services are great, and the staff are very friendly. Really nice place

The hosts are amazing. They did everything they can to make my stay there as comfortable as possible. The guest house is close enough to the wall, it's about a 25 minute walk which I used to explore the village further. They have a Restaurant in the guest house and this made my first night there easy because I didn't have to go somewhere else to find food.
