One thing that's challenging to find in Colombia is a quiet place to stay and at Azulejo, it was super quiet. It might be a little bit inconvenient that it isn't located a little closer to town, but I'll take the longer walk (approx 20 mins to the plaza principal) in exchange for the peace and quiet any day. The people who ran things were super nice. The breakfast was great and served at the exact time requested and for all these reasons and more, I ended up staying several extra days there . Lots of hot water for the shower and it was a bonus that they had a full kitchen plus washer/dryer to use for guests. Photos don’t do it justice, the room is beautiful and massive. Everything is so new. Loved using the kitchen, and TV has Netflix. 20 min walk to town or take a taxi for around 5mil.

All of the staff were exceptional. The hotel was impeccable, really a beautiful example of colonial Colombia. The attention to detail was everywhere.

The atmosphere in the hostel is super pleasant and social so it's easy to meet people. The owner Camilo was really sweet and welcome me with a smile AND some nice coffee. He is also really knowledgeable about the area so ask him for recommendations about restaurants and activities. If I had more time I would have loved to spend 1-2 nights more!
