The breakfast was delicious and healthy with fresh fruit and homemade omelets or scrambled eggs, varying daily! The location was close to Chocolatera- amazing westernmost tip of Ecuador where the Pacific Ocean spans almost 300 degrees and you can see Blue-footed Boobies and Sea Lions! It’s a short two-hour drive from Guayaquil Airport and from Montanita - cool coastal ceviche vibing town.

 We had a competicion to kill the biggest cockroach. We killed 3 within a yard of the adjoining door leading to the  kitchen of their restaurant. Ugh.

    Centrally located Chescos might be the best low budget hotel on the entire southwest coast of Ecuador. The room was spacious enough, the shower had hot water and the staff was friendly. The A/C worked like a charm. The location was superb, right next to the beach.
