The real question is…what DIDN’T we like?!?! This charming hotel in the middle of the mountains of Planitero was exactly as advertised and so much more. To sleep, wake up and eat with the sight and sound of a river was a calming way to start, continue and end each day. The hotel itself was like the like photos on the site, but again…so much more than a picture will describe. Not only incredibly clean, but felt warm and cozy. Not cluttered with too many unnecessary details. It felt genuine. The rooms were perfect in every way. Comfortable beds, comfortable sheets. Fantastic after a long day of traveling around. The complimentary breakfast was delightful!!! A perfect way to start the day. With a meal by a calm, babbling brook Coffee lovers with enjoy their special blend (made especially for the hotel) Meats, cheeses, homemade bread, yogurt, homemade marmalade and jam and also their own honey!! The hotel owners (one sister and two brothers) were I think the best part of the stay. Free to have a conversation. Incredibly helpful of where to go around the area. Just….really nice people. Genuine. I would recommend this place to anyone who want to get away from the worries of the world and be enchanted by this Grecian gem.

We arrived in the evening And after we got settled we had a wonderful walk down 200 steps and ramps to the city. They provided wonderful vistas and worked up an appetite! We walked back up the hill after dinner, which may not be for everyone but we really enjoyed it. The house was warm and welcoming and very quiet.

Amazing comfortable hotel in the middle of the mountain valley with all modern facilities, marvellous view from the balcony. Cozy room with large and comfortable bed, sustainable air conditioning. Breakfast is modest, but good and tasty. Restaurant next to the hotel serves very tasty food.

We loved everything! We have booked a triple studio, but at the arrival Aphroditi, the owner, surprised us with a free of charge upgrade to the villa they own, since it was available. We had an amazing stay, enjoying the quiet and cool evenings on the balcony with stunning views! In fact, Valtesiniko has become our favourite mountain villages in the Arcadia, Peloponnese. The village is small, but beautiful and quiet. It has a couple of tavernas and a café 8-10 minutes away by foot from the Valtessiniko Studios.

We had a wonderful stay at the Melato house. The place is brand new, well equipped and located minutes from the village center. Nick was extremely nice, and breakfast was huge generous and so tasty!
