I really enjoyed staying at Electra Suites on my recent trip to Samothraki! I only got to stay for two nights but will definitely go back next time I visit the island. Stelios is a generous host and went above and beyond to make sure I had a good trip– in fact, on my first day, he actually drove me around the island himself so that I could visit the Sanctuary of the Great Gods and Chora! Even with the language barrier, we had a pleasant time conversing via Google Translate. The other staff at the hotel were friendly and made me feel at home. Overall, a lovely group of people to spend a long weekend with. I value peace & quiet when I travel, and so I appreciated staying somewhere without street traffic or restaurant sounds that was still close to the amenities. Stelios recommended a taverna with good food about a five minute walk from the restaurant, and I went back there several times. The name was Sta Kala Kathoumena and the walk takes you through the church's courtyard. If you can, I do recommend renting a car or a motorbike to get around the island– I came during the off-season and didn't realize how limited the public transit options were. I appreciated Stelios taking the time to drive me around, but I also knew he was busy running the hotel! The taxi stand on the waterfront is an easy walk- bring cash. I also spotted a scooter rental on the main drag. I have trouble sleeping, and felt very safe walking around Kamariotissa at night while trying to settle my thoughts. Stay aware of your surroundings and carry a flashlight for visibility, as there are few sidewalks in the side streets and you'll want to quickly get out of the way when people are driving through. Wherever you are in the village, you'll be able to see Mt. Saos or the sea. Rooms: The rooms were very clean, comfortable and modern. I had a balcony overlooking the street and could see the waterfront over the roofs. (Posted for my sister, who I made this booking for.

The location is great - in the city center but still far enough from the bars and the cafes so the noise doesn't bother you. We were given a great, spacious room with the biggest perk - big balcony facing the sea! Great place to have coffee in the morning :) The room had air-conditioning and a mosquito-net which is a game changer for the hot nights. The balcony was underneath a tree, in the shade, also perfect for warm summer evenings.

    The location is perfect, you can see the sunset from the balcony - a sea & garden view room is a must ♥️ - the garden is full of wonderful plants, the grass is very well maintained. The wonderful ladies clean the rooms every day and they are extremely nice and helpful.

    Location, staff and common areas, especially the pool are perfect. The restaurant gas amazing terrace, the garden is maintained perfectly. The beach is outside the door! The best restaurants on the island are up the same hill - only several kilometers far.
