Wonderful views, location is fantastic, a lot of available activities nearby, but atmosphere is very quiet. Sunsets there are amazing. Owners of guesthouse are incredible friendly, always helping. We would definitely stay there again on my next trip to Iceland. Thank you so much.

Amazing place. If you want to experience what it would be like to camp without actually renting a camper van, this is it! The place is located in a very peaceful area, almost mesmerizing. The camper van was very clean, the beds are comfortable, and a small heating unit is present should you get cold. There is a small fridge, and also a small stove with all necessary equipment to prepare a meal. You have a small bathroom inside the camper, so you don't have to worry about that. The shower hose is outside the camper van. There is also a tub which can be filled with hot water on request. Sitting inside the hot water and looking at the glorious mountains, while listening to the singing of birds with a glass of good drink was phenomenal. :D It is also a very quiet area, so it is like a small oasis of peacefulness, perfect to achieve mindfulness. It is also very close to Dalvík, which has a ferry going to the island Grimsey, which is a must see! There are some beer baths close by (you read that right) and regular hot baths if you want to experience more of that. Please note there is also a small farm not far away, which sells its own diary products and various jams, and oh my god, are things delicious! We bought several items and all of them were so good, especially the stinky cheese! :D the place is a half an hour away from Akureyri and about half an hour away from Olafsfjordur, which is a small town, but the view is incredible, definitely worth a visit. I mean, this place is so much more. There is also a BBQ just next to the camper van, so you can enjoy some nicely grilled meat while enjoying the spectacular view. The host was incredibly nice and flexible! If you want to stay somewhere outside of normal mortar and brick hotels, this is a place to go.

The bungalow was very comfortable and cosy, located in the woods. Fairytale and very romantic place. There is a queen size bed, video option with movies, table and small kitchen inside. The bathroom was enough big. We will recommend for dinner the Eyri restaurant on the lake, only 10 minutes away from the property. It´s a gourmet one (higher price level) but all very tasty with an excellend wine choice. Near Akureyri we will highly recommend also to visit the Forest Lagoon (thermal baths).

The house was very comfortable and surrounded by woods and a view of the water. Kitchen was well stocked. We could not use the outside deck area, since it was raining.

Review Absolutely outstanding Really hard to know where to begin… The house is real piece of art. From architecture to furnishings to details - everything is speaking of immense taste and loving care. As well as being stylistically impeccable with a plethora of carefully selected decorations totally appropriate for the locality, the house provides for any single necessity - beautiful kitchen with lovely crockery, laundry, bedding and linen, bathrooms etc. , all if it of superior quality. On the top if it the hill situated house boasts enormous panoramic french windows opening onto small row of the houses lower on the hill and unobstructed view of the beautiful fjord which is especially agreeable to watch sitting on one of two patios sipping your favorite drink from exquisite china. It has everything you would wish for your home but at the same time make you fill like you are in small palace. We - a family with 3 children and the grandmother - enjoyed our time in the Black Pearl beyond measure. The only drawback we can think of - it was not enough time there.

Our best stay in Iceland. The place is gorgeous, both location, directly on the fjord, and the guesthouse itself. The shared kitchen/ dining room is comfortable and welcoming, with large windows overlooking the sea. The rooms are clean and nice, with good breakfast. Above all Inoglfur's great hospitality, and the knowledge and conversations, which gives you insight about Iceland.

What are great stay, it has everything you need. Great view and we saw 5 cruise ships from the backyard towards the ocean during 2 nights stay. Hoste is easy to communicate and super nice, we couldn’t find cooking oil and laundry detergent, he delivered and left at the front door. Note: if you need additional washing room (W.C) . There is a public one only less 100 meters away, open for 24 hours, very clean.
