The onsen is just awesome open from 5am till midnight. They have a lot of amenities even socks and a yukata to use during your stays. The staff was helpful and professional, the breakfast buffet was huge with Western and Japanese food. The hotel has a big smoking common room. We had an awesome view of the park and the river from a giant window in the room (the room was really big), we enjoyed waking up to this.

The morning breakfast ladies were fantastic. Recognized me as a westerner who might like a fork or spoon and immediately retrieved them from a cabinet for me. They recognized me every morning and greeted me warmly. The room was furnished simply but adequately.

The owner can't speak English but is very welcoming, communication through translation app the owner uses works perfectly. The room is small but totally worth the value as the hotel is right located on a street has many easy-to-access restaurants, providing various options while also being few minutes walk away from JR Gifu and Meitetsu Gifu. Multiple bus lines are also available at JR Gifu. The room is also clean and well equipped. Don't forget to ask for a ご案内 business card at the front desk, the restaurants and spots suggested in the link are great if you don't know where to start from.
