the guest house was lovely - very clean and spacious and in an excellent location close to Honmura port and a bike rental shop. There is also a great selection of drinks and snacks in the guest house. The hosts were amazing. They couldn’t do enough for us, picking us up and dropping us off to the port, helping with booking bicycles and finding a restaurant in the evening. They even bought us fresh coffee when we checked out. The perfect stay with the perfect hosts! Thank you!

The room is very spacious for Japan. The staff are very friendly. They have a bus to pick you up from the pier to take you to the hotel and I arrived early for the check in, they even got a car to send to an attraction on the island where I can walk around first before I come back to check in. The hotel might seem pricey but it is a great value for what you get. The breakfast and kaiseki dinner are included. I used to live in Japan and dined at many kaiseki restaurants and this has to be one of the best. Every little thing was cooked to perfection. The menu was also seasonal.

The house is very well maintained and filled with quirky and creative touches. It had lots of character, and was also comfortable and very clean. The kitchen is well equipped and there are lots of nooks for a group to enjoy together or individually. The location is convenient to the port and facilities in Miyanoura, and a great home base to explore the whole island. The host was very responsive to questions. I would definitely choose this house again if I was coming back to Naoshima.

This property is an amazing off the beaten path guest house for travelers looking for a unique experience. The home is full with records, manga, and old tech and is filled to the brim with cool stuff. The host cooked us the MOST INCREDIBLE meal for dinner and breakfast was amazing as well. He left us the run of the guest house and we really enjoyed everything.

The renovated Japanese home was stunning. The decor was modern that matched the feel of Naoshima Art Island. I especially loved spending the night in the tatami room. There was an amazing CD player with a fabulous collection that set the tone and ambiance for a relaxing evening. I wish to return one day and spend an entire week instead on just one night. The fully equipped kitchen had all new appliances with special attention to lovely Japanese china. The owners were the kindest people who helped make the trip very memorable and special by picking us up and taking us to the ferry, helping create our jam packed itinerary since we had only one day to see both the art on Naoshima and Teshima, and making the best dinner reservations. Attention to details were above and beyond. This home is a hidden secret!

Having the run of an entire traditional Japanese house was marvelous. The house was kept very clean and had a full kitchen to cook meals (as well as a washer). The inner courtyard was a bonus. The house is located very conveniently to many of the art attractions in Naoshima. Lisa was easy to communicate with and provided lightning fast answers to our questions. Highly recommend!
