Location is very convenient and 5mins to subway station. The hotel looks new and sleek modern designs. Our room is twin bed with sofa and small table and chair. I like the toilet, bath tab and basin area are separate and the layout is well designed and efficient to use. The lounge is very comfortable with sofa, tables and music on they also provide guests with free coffee, tea bags, juice and hot water , room temperature water and ice cubes.

It was very clean and comfortable. Rooms were small but could easily fit 3 people with 2 suitcases and a carry on. Staff was very friendly! The location was great, we could walk to the bus stop within 2-3 minutes or walk to the station in less than 10 minutes. It’s also a short 10 minute walk to Nishiki Market.

We stayed at both General Kyoto properties (they're a 5 minute walk from each other). Great location in a quiet but central street, with easy access to public transport. The hotel is extremely generous—spacious rooms with plenty of free toiletries, tea and snacks, music speaker etc. The lounge has a 'happy hour' with complimentary wine, matcha, coffee and Japanese sweets / rice cakes. There is also a coin-operated washing machine and dryer, which are very handy. The staff were very helpful with restaurant reservations, baggage forwarding services etc. We couldn't be happier with General Kyoto, and recommend it very highly.
