Cheap hotels in Fungate

The bungalow had a great bed, excellent shower with lots of hot water, very new and very clean. The staff went all out to make sure our stay was wonderful. The owner provided airport pickup and drop off and waited over an hour for us due to visa issues. The breakfast was always good, huge plate of fresh fruit, fresh juice, coffee and made to order omelets. I would definitely stay at Telvina again.

Excellent guides, wonderful experiences, superb hosts. We saw dolphins, turtles , manta ray and a dugong. Having snorkelled in many places around the world …2 mile reef was beyond spectacular. We made our own breakfast but we did have dinner and lunch. Fabulous fresh fish and seafood pizza with excellent peri peri sauce on the side. Fresh coconut juice was a win. Such wonderful staff. Good wine selection. Well priced. Loved our 3 bed villa and it was well kitted out for us to cook our fresh produce from the local sellers. We will certainly be back.

I liked everything! the amazing view and being close to the water front was top! The bed was confortable, the linen and towels clean, there was hot water and slept with the sound of the waves. Pedro the owner is a wonderful host, who helped us with any question or need we had. Pedro speaks Portuguese, English, Spanish and a bit of French. The food is fresh and delicious. Perfect place to chill and and enjoy with the locals and the tourists. Instead of being solely among tourists like in other lodges.

Casa Cabana Beach Lodge was perfect for us. Rob was very communicative, especially with the protests going on at the time of our visit, which was reassuring. Bobo met us at the airport and took good care of us during our visit. He arranged for us to do a day tour to Bazaruto, etc with Sunset Dhow Safari. We were in standard room #3 and were very happy to be in the room instead of one of the cottages. It also had a queen bed. It was more private and we had the whole garden area in front of our room. The room was spotless, was very large and tastefully decorated with local handicrafts. The bed was super comfortable with the softest sheets ever! The patio was lovely for having morning coffee and relaxing in the afternoon. All the staff were very helpful and attentive. Breakfast was very good with homemade bread and eggs to order. We also ended up eating 2 dinners there as well. The grilled fish was delicious. We also enjoyed walking into the village which was a bit long. You can also take a tuk-tuk (chopela). If walking, walk the road the entire way or the beach, with slight detour, the whole way. Do not try to cut over half-way because the “roads” on Google Maps are tiny winding foot trails. We preferred walking along the beach and swimming at the beach in front of Telvina Beach Lodge Restaurant. We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Cabana and would return if in the area. Thank you!
