Amazing views from the living room and the bedrooms!! The host Helen was so welcoming that you felt much like you were visiting a friend than just staying in her home. We exchanged life stories and she was genuinely interested in ours. The dinner and breakfast she prepared were both very good. While it is not a 4 star accommodation because of the off-the-grid uniqueness, which isn’t for everyone, Helen is most certainly a 5 star host!

Stayed one night and it was recently redone and very comfortable. The community spaces felt like a comfortable home. Gerard and Vicki were friendly, kind, helpful, I can’t say enough good things about them. I needed to do laundry ($10 to wash and dry) and Vicky brought it up to me when it was done. One thing needed more drying and she graciously put it back in the dryer and brought it up to me again. Would have loved to stay longer and explore the beautiful Arthur’s Pass area.

The park is in a beautiful setting. The bathrooms, showers and communal kitchen/lounge area were all very clean and well-maintained. We were in a cabin that was very comfortable. The nature walk is definitely worth doing and leads to very impressive waterfall.

Amazing location! Peaceful and serene. No one around. An older cottage, but with modern facilities (fantastic bathroom, newer washer/dryer machines, comfy beds --enough for at least 4 people, probably more--, cozy living room with wood stove). Close enough to the 1 restaurant and 1 cafe/shop in Arthur's pass (1-minute drive), but away from the road so there's no traffic or other people. Great hosts with great communication.

We really liked the good size of the house and it was nice and warm on a cold winters weekend. The property had all the amenities we needed which was great. Full kitchen set up, heating, laundry, travel cot etc.

Rustic yet charming. We loved this quaint little cabin in the mountains. The wood burner was such a plus. Made the place cozy and comfy! Enjoyed the birds in the morning!
