This hostel is much better than any other Ibis or 3-star hotels. The comfort of the mattresses, water pressure in the shower, size of the room, cleanliness. Simply excellent! It exceeded our expectations!

The staff are amazing! My workplace has a motto that must apply here too: nothing is someone else's job. Everyone was always on pitching in helping each other take care of this wonderful little property. And breakfast. Do NOT skip breakfast, it is worth every cento.

Everything. The property was beautiful: it exceeded our expectations! We went there for a wedding nearby and left wanting to come back to properly enjoy Casa Ventura. The room was incredible and the hosts fantastic. We had a request for early check-in that was, very gracefully, provided, and we also had an issue with my partner feeling unwell the next morning and the hosts were incredibly understanding and helpful. Super recommend!

This is a small family run operation and it earns a top ranking from me because they do what they do very well. It's not at all fancy and the accomodations are very simple, but extremely clean. There is a restaurant a two minute walk away that serves delicious traditional food in huge portions at a very reasonable price. This place is out of the way and was just perfect for our needs - a clean, comfortable place to bed down for the night. Hugo, the owner, was very nice.

    Friendly host but didn't speak English.. very clean single room , village is small and not a lot of options for food ...come prepared ..there is a very small fridge to store food but nowhere to prepare anything .. but it is a rural hotel ... be nice if they did food !

    The hotel is beautiful, in a nice location. There was a lot of rain during my visit and the hotel owner lent me an umbrella during my stay, I didn't even need to ask! I don't speak Portuguese but that didn't matter, luckily the owners knew enough basic words of English to be able to assist me with anything needed. Would recommend.
