The hotel is beautiful, the room was huge and the bed was really spacious and comfortable. I slept like a baby and I'm quite fussy about beds and mattresses. The shower/bath was big, the water hot and with good pressure, lovely bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean! The lady running the hotel is very kind and communicative. Althought she does not speak english, she managed to give us all the important info to have a good stay (here I'd recommend to learn at least few Portugese words/phrases like 'thank you', 'this', 'eggs', ... as it makes communication more clear for both sides). Very clean and comfortable, great facilities and much bigger than it looks on the outside. Location is terrific, very close to views of the mountains and of the lake. It's also easy to access by car and has good local amenities - a little grocer 2 mins walk away and the restaurant at the Hotel Sau Bento offers good food at decent value a 5 minute walk away.
