Three nights were not enough! For us Strandakar made for an ideal home base for exploring the island’s many treasures. Our hosts Charlotte and Lars were the perfect guides in helping us make the most of our days. Breakfasts and dinners were both beautifully prepared and delicious. The bed was comfortable and the room very clean. For all of Strandakar’s charms and beauty, it is the hosts are the magic that makes this place special and one to return to again. A most wonderful stay in a large traditional home furnished with great taste for the Scandinavian hygge feeling. The owner is lovely and her dog friendly. We enjoyed the sun in the spacious garden in comfy chairs at a large table. Breakfast was delicious with homemade bread, yoghurt, granola. The area can be easily explored by car or bike and is breathtakingly gorgeous. Highly recommend this B&B, easily the highlight of our Gotland trip.

Per is a great host and does everything he can to make your visit comfortable. The lodgings and facilities are in 180-year old farm buildings that have been sympathetically restored and repurposed, in the peaceful center of the island, yet Visby is only 20km away. The nearest grocery store is in Roma is 9km away. A 'go with the flow' place to recharge. There are grass paths through the farm property, take a walk around to relax and absorb the beauty of the surroundings.
