The room was very spacious and comfortable. Great location too - a little bit away from the center so it's much quieter but just a short walk away from all the action. There was also a cafe downstairs by the pool which was perfect for morning coffee.

Pakping is a sparkling-clean hostel. The guests are sociable and the owner is helpful. One night the AC was out of order and the room got extremely hot and humid. They fixed it as soon as I reported it to them next day. Thanks!

After loving my stay at The Yard Bangkok, I knew I had to check out their Chiang Mai spot. And what can I say? This is the best hostel in Asia. Period. It’s the kind of place where you do everything at your own pace. The perfect balance of social—you never have to join in, but you’re always welcome. There’s always something for you. You’ll meet the most fascinating people and have the most fulfilling conversations. My favorite part of the hostel? Their iconic breakfast obvs, but also the playlists curated by M at reception. I could (and did) sit all day just vibing to it. Huge salute to Som & The Yard family for creating such a beautiful community. See you next time!
