The place, the host and the workers are all amazing! It is the best place! You won’t regret staying there! Very calm surroundings, loved the pool, the rooms are very comfortable and clean. But the most amazing thing is Patricia (the host). She is exceptional! She will welcome you like a friend, she will give you amazing pieces of advice and, if you need anything, she will be very happy to help you. She helps her community and has such a big heart. She cooked us breakfast every morning and asked us what we wanted, like in a restaurant, wow! Come with an open heart and mind and you will have the experience of a lifetime! Far’s place is beautiful, super stylish and very very clean. We had our laundry beautifully washed, the bedding was lovely and we had our best sleeps so far in Tanzania. The meals are terrific. There is nice indoor and outdoor space. When staying with him you can have lots of space and privacy or if you choose (as we did) you can tag along with him. We went to karaoke and the market and shared some meals out because we really enjoyed his company and his friends were welcoming too. When we did things on our own like a trip to the waterfall and a coffee tour he arranged this with great people at a reasonable price. He also helped us out with tuk tuks and cars when we didn’t feel like walking. Moshi is really pretty and nice to walk around. We stayed here because all the reviews said how fun and kind Far is. This is true he is delightful, gracious and he is also professional, reliable and a good communicator. On top of all of that the guesthouse rooms are well equipped, comfortable, and super clean. We do have a good time with Far and we were relaxed, well taken care of and really enjoyed being in his place.

The breakfast!!! It was such a nice breakfast which Dee and her Team prepared for me in the garden. The house with the surroundings is wonderful. In the evening we had a bonfire. Very nice atmosphere there. Very quite and comfortable room. All what I needed! And because I booked the twin dorm, another guest booked the second bed and this also worked very well because they made everything so comfortable for us and it's a perfect room for solo-travelers.

Kiwavi Home is paradise. The grounds are immaculate and lush. There are multiple outdoor and indoor lounge areas. The breakfast is plentiful and utterly delicious. And all the staff are so incredibly welcoming and friendly. It is secure and safe. Altogether, Kiwavi home feels like…home. We stayed for 2 nights prior to climbing Kilimanjaro. I had to come off the mountain early, but I was actually delighted to, because it meant I could spend more time at Kiwavi Home! It is the sort of place you want to spend time enjoying. The vibe and facilities and people are welcoming and comforting.

I chose Shimbwe because it is located in Mt Kilimanjaro near Materuni Waterfall. The owner & staff are most welcoming & helpful. The booking.com description is accurate and the managenent waa very responsive to email ahead of my arrival. The home-cooked food is excellent. The view of Mt Kilimanjaro peak is mesmerizing when the clouds clear. The highlight of my stay was the day hike to Materuni waterfall. Baraka is an outstanging guide, so knowledgable, personable, sharing info about the nature of the area and Chagga culture. We had a terrific day of hiking through this beautiful area.

    The homestay is located in a quiet location just outside Moshi. Tuktuks can be used as an inexpensive way to get around and are readily available. The accommodation was excellent super comfy bed, lovely lounge area and beautiful garden. Breakfast was amazing and varied daily. The host was the most friendly I've ever met in all my years of travel. His motivation is to make every traveller's experience memorable and stress free. Can't recommend this place enough.

    This hotel was very clean and comfortable. The location is a little outside of town in a quiet, green and calming location. The staff were friendly and it had a quiet and calming atmosphere. Our family including 2 young children had a great time. The pool was clean and the upstairs restaurant area was a great space to relax and enjoy our time together The restaurant and bar had enough choices and the breakfast was great.

    The staff were super friendly, making every effort to make you feel at home. Brenda, Mwajuma, Wity and the rest of the staff always were smiling and happy to see me. They are great cooks and the food and drinks are very cheap prices. Location is perfect for exploring Moshi and they even looked after my stuff while I did Kilimanjaro and safari. Thank you for everything.

    The staff made us feel like home from the first moment we arrived there. We were there for 2 days only and we felt that it had always been our house. They offered us some of the best activities we could have around the village and because of them we were able to see the area in the best way possible with an excellent guide. We had a very local taste of Tanzania and we loved that! Comfortable beds, amazing view, very clean, super location! Thank you for everything 😊
