    I actually live in Los Angeles but I run across Catalina Island every year and it requires getting to the boat super early. As such, the night before, I usually stay near the harbor so that I can get to the boat easier. You don't have a lot of options in the area so I will say that for the money this place is fantastic. It is very bare bones, kind of like a nice European hostel. But definitely worth the very cheap rate. Shared bathrooms aren't my favorite but for the price I'm happy to abide. Would stay there again.

    It's an excellent location to spend the night! It's in the middle of the industrial so there isn't much around for tourists, but if you need a night stay before going on a cruise, or another such activity, it is perfect. A cheap, comfortable option.
