We walked to, and completed, the Grand Canyon walking track one day, the rim walk and Popes Glen another, and trained over to Katoomba to walk the Three Sisters, Giant Stairway, Federal Pass connection to the Furber Steps and Prince Henry Cliff Walk. Fantastic.

We had a fantastic weekend at Closeburn House. Steve and Paul were so friendly and welcoming. The property is gorgeous and they have done a wonderful job at renovating, stylish, fresh and very cosy. The breakfast was exceptional and a real highlight. A superb two course breakfast with homemade relishes and banana bread, perfectly cooked eggs too. I would highly recommend Closeburn House for a quiet weekend, it’s a 10 minute drive to Blackheath which has some great restaurants, bars and pubs. Many fantastic walks close by too. Such a wonderful place, will definitely be back!

Situated in Mount Wilson, in a historic building, 44 km from Katoomba Scenic World, Dennarque Estate is a holiday home with a garden and tennis court. There is a private entrance at the holiday home for the convenience of those who stay. There is an outdoor fireplace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Dennarque Estate was absolutely stunning. The grounds were beautifully maintained, and I especially loved strolling through the vibrant, well-kept gardens. The facilities were top-notch and made for a truly relaxing weekend escape from the city.
