Situated in Châtellerault, in a historic building, 42 km from Château du Rivau, Le Clos Gabrielle is a recently renovated guest house with pool with a view and garden. A wonderfully, welcoming, fun and quirky place. Cyril was an excellent host. My room was immaculate with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was spacious and faultless. Breakfast was simple but of high quality. Location is on the outskirts of the town but I took a +-2km walk along the road and then along the river, across the bridge and to a fine restaurant recommended by Cyril. I highly recommend a stay here if you are visiting the area or when passing by Chatellerault.
