They booked us a boat to visit Livingston & Playa Blanca. Best of all, we were able to take a cooking lesson from Andrea, the head chef - a real sweetheart, everyone would love to have a mom or grandmother like Andrea. I'll be able to post photos of all my favorites - fish tacos - caramelised french toats - chia pudding - green smoothie Thanks for making our stay a really good moment

Unique location and set up. Tim and all his staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. We did a wonderful kayak trip, an amazing chocolate making workshop and spent time swimming and relaxing. Great help given with our onward plans too We loved out time there

Very good location and I was able to get a pedicure next door when I went to pay for the stay! Brilliant. Daniel was very helpful and friendly. I loved being able to walk to and from Sendero de Bosque tropical las Escobas, it is stunning! Well worth the visit. Mona’s cafe was recommended to me by Daniel - I liked it so much I went back every day (the mokka & mokka frappe were both really nice)

The Camp is located at a wonderful small beach, surrounded by palm trees and mangrove forest. The whole small camp is designed were nicely and made with a lot of love. It has a very nice chill/kitchen area with a large table to get together with the other guests and volunteers. We could join the family dinner and breakfast for some extra money, which was very tasty. We did rent kayaks and went to the mangrove forest. The host Laurence helped a lot in preparing the trip and gave us a lot of information to arrive to the camp and go to Livingston. She was very helpful and kind as the other guest were. I would recommend to stay at least three nights, but a few days longer would probably be even better.

We spent almost a month in Guatemala and this was by far the MOST amazing stay and like a mini slice of heaven! The owners are extremely friendly. My husband and I enjoyed the food, amazing lake views, fishing, kayaking, wildlife, and the fun boat ride with their dog. The Villa exceeded our expectations and I wish we stayed more time.

When we arrived we felt like at home. All of their workers there are super nice, have a nice smile and they make everything happen that you feel super nice there. The standard of everything there is just higher than in any other hotel we have been so far in Guatemala. If it comes to the shower, bathroom, bed or any other facilities, it’s just great! Also the small details! And the best thing is really as already mentioned the staff there. This is one of the hotels where you will say in a few years, remember the „El Viajero“ in rio dulce, and you‘ll immediately remember which one it was.

Ollie was exceptionally kind and well connected to get us help with transportation. She is also a great cook. Don Luis was the taxi driver that she connected is with. He is a very honest man. He drove back to the facility to return my phone and charger that I left in the taxi. Funds from this place go to support underprivileged individuals attain working skills.

Also all other employees were working with a smile and happy to help you with any kind of questions. We also received a nice tour through the beautiful garden. Easy to reach via whatsapp for any questions like boat pick-ups and happy to give tips for traveling. 5 star service! Rooms are clean and comfortable with great beds and it is a beautiful place.

Hostal Blood Moon se nachází v destinaci Rio Dulce a nabízí ubytování s zahradou, neplaceným soukromým parkovištěm, sdíleným loungem a terasou. Castillo de San Felipe de Lara je 4,9 km daleko. It was like a special treat. Cosy, sweet & cheap.

Hotel Kangaroo y Restaurante se nachází v destinaci Rio Dulce a poskytuje zahradu, sdílený lounge, bar a bezplatné Wi-Fi ve všech prostorách. The hotel is on a peaceful part of the river. The rooms are rustic but nicely done and very clean. We were worried about not having air conditioning but the fan worked well and we slept great. It cools down considerably at night. Shower has hot water and was better thanks shower in Flores. Free pick up and drop off in Rio Dulce with good communication. Meals were excellent and well priced. We used their tour to go up the lake to Livingstone and it was a highlight of our trip. We also rented a kayak to paddle across to the castle and along the river.The owners are very nice and helpful. If you are debating about staying here versus either Rio Dulce or Livingston, we definitely recommend Kangaroo. The towns are not nice to stay in.
