The house is very well equipped, everything has been thought through for a comfortable stay. Modern and with great views of the lake. Comfy beds. Good communication through messages and recommendations to visit the area. We saw stunning auroras from here!

Fully equipped, comfortable and quiet apartment. Very calming view of the harbor. Wifi is also excellent for work. Parking is available at the back of the house at the end of the street right by the sea (you need to go around a block of houses, it's in the photo, but at night and in a blizzard it may not be immediately obvious).

The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need — it even has a slow cooker and a rice cooker, which is very convenient. We also really appreciate the attention to small details — the curtain in the shower booth to keep dry area dry, the mirror outside the bathroom (so you can do your makeup while someone else is taking a shower), plenty of power outlets including an extra extension cord in the bedroom. Even though the room is on the second floor (this is informed clearly when booking), so carrying luggage upstairs can be a bit tiring, but the staircase is wide and not steep so it is not that hard. The code for the key box and check-in instructions were sent before arrival, and it was very easy to access the apartment. The view of Kirkjufell from every windows is superb!

Akkeri Guesthouse provides rooms in Stykkishólmur. This guest house features a garden and free private parking. At the guest house, units include a desk and a flat-screen TV. Guesthouse in a beautiful house in stunning Srykkihoulmur just near the harbour. Extremely pleasant hospitality by the hosts. Especially Krisztina.

Beautiful, clean and nicely maintained hotel right at the heart of the town. Wonderful staff. Special thanks to Monika, a sweet and friendly host who was ready to accommodate our last min request for breakfast. Amazing breakfast. Everything was perfect. Not a false note anywhere.

Out of 7 times visiting Iceland, we never stopped in Stykkisholmur - this was long overdue. I think we picked the perfect place to enjoy this town, as Monika was an outstanding host. We pretty much had the guesthouse all to ourselves, as a group of 7 people. We enjoyed all the nice touches from the owner, all the little extras like some food in the fridge, 2 types of coffee to choose from in the morning, and the games and books in the living room. We were a bit in a rush to continue our tour and head back to Keflavik the next day, which was our only regret as we could not enjoy the guesthouse a bit longer.
