We also ate in the restaurant some in the evening, and everything was very tasty. The staff are all soooo kind and helpful. For about $6 they can wash/dry a laundry bag that you fill. Our room (which was only for two people; we did not stay in the dorm-style rooms) was clean and comfortable, and the whole facility was clean and quite cozy. Close walk to the main train station (no more than 10 minutes).

Location was fantastic and just beside the Nihan Odori metro station. Commuting to the Yokohama station was very easy. The breakfast was good. The rooms were big and spacious. The amenities were excellent. The residents lounge area and the gym were a great addition. Overall, very nice breakfast.

Water and soft drinks waiting in the fridge. Very nice personnel. There was no problem with early check-in and late check-out. Very convenient location, 10 minutes walk to the beach.

The hotel has an indoor and outdoor inner onsen (hot bath) facility for men and women in separate rooms. This is a traditional onsen, so you'll have to be completely naked to attend it. The place is far from Gora center but can be accessed by public transport or taxi or car. One way is to use the funicular train, which takes you to Gora downtown, or the cable car station to Togendai (the ship cruise lake Hashi area). We used the bus to get here but decided to use a taxi all around because it was quicker. Use the Go app for that, or use the reservation through hotels and restaurants. The apartment is spacious and includes all amenities like a washing machine and dryer, two toilets, and a traditional Japanese bath. The kitchen is fully equipped if you decide to make your meals. Make sure to buy the groceries in Gora since there is no large grocery shop nearby. There is a small and modest one next to the hotel run by a lady so that you can find some valuable products there, but this is not 7-11 or something like that. Next to the hotel, there is a delicious restaurant named Kazamidori. We liked the food and the family operating it. Another place worth mentioning is the paSeo, which is a few minutes walk from the hotel and serves a tasty breakfast bakery. The staff at the hotel is very friendly and helpful. The title Japanese hospitality deserves its title in this hotel. The hotel has a nice lounge area with vending machines and a massage couch (just one, so make sure to catch a sit when empty). Overall, we liked the hotel. The view is of the forest outside, and no other houses or hotels are in front of you. The staff also helped us receive and send our luggage via the Yamato transport service with no additional fees—very kind of them.

Lake Ashi is 4.9 km from the villa. The opportunity to stay in a Japanese villa, in a great location by Lake Ashi, with a kitchen and plenty of space was amazing. Then, the hot springs shower and tub was super special. It truly was healing to our bodies that were a bit worn out from travel. Yes, stay here! We hope to stay longer next time. It was a little hard to find. Yet, a kind gentleman was watching out for us and directed us.
