Very friendly and helpful host. He organized two full day safaris for us - one in Block 5&6 and one in Block 1 of the Yala national park. They were both amazing and we could (besides elephants, monkeys, crocodiles,...) observe 4 leopards and even a mother with her cub! 😍 The huge tent with the veranda was just perfect. We could even observe several animals like peacocks and mungos directly from there. One evening the host's mum spontaneously cooked for us and we even got the dinner served to our veranda. Another evening he took us by car to a restaurant. So overall it was a great experience and I can only recommend this place.

River Cottage se nachází v destinaci Wellawaya a má restauraci, sdílený lounge, bar, zahradu, terasu a výhled do zahrady. We enjoyed our stay and wished we had more time to spend in Wellawaya and at River Cottage. I recommend a refreshing bath in the river in the morning.

Manažer hotelu pan Inbaraj nás doprovodil do zahrady koření, kde s námi udělal podrobnou prohlídku.

Great check-in experience with king coconut water. The staff was very responsive and proactive with regards to getting to the location as its in a remote area. Rooms were very beautiful - free standing building, high ceilings, nice bathroom.

The room, the amazing view (peacocks next to the room), the staff, and also the restaurant was awesome. The owner made sure that everything was right for us, and was very accommodating. Velmi útulné ubytování. Vše čisté a velmi dobře sladěné. Co stojí za zmínku je opravdu nadstandardně pečující hostitel. Zařídil nám projížďku na lodi s večeří. Ranní s procházkou řekou s vodopádem a zajistil masáž. Také nás vozil tuktukem do své restaurace kde připravil čerstvě chycené ryby. V okolí jsou krásná místa například místní vodopád Wellawaya, nebo největší socha Budhy ve střední Asii.

Kynrock is a chain across Sri Lanka but this location had just opened about 6 weeks before our stay. It is right outside of Yala which was perfect. There were only about 8 people staying in the hotel that night and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time - they had poolside beers for us and brought in a chef to make personalized dinners for the 8 of us (since there was no buffet because it is so new and there is no one staying there). They were so happy to have us and the experience was truly special.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with fresh green coconuts – such a refreshing touch that set the tone for a relaxing getaway. 🌴 The staff were incredibly friendly and professional, always attentive and ready to help, which made us feel right at home. The rooms were very clean, and the overall environment was peaceful and well-maintained. The location is ideal, surrounded by lush greenery and overlooking beautiful paddy fields. The natural sounds of birds and wind made the stay even more soothing. 🐦🌾 One of the highlights was the huge swimming pool – perfect for cooling off and enjoying the tranquil surroundings. A special shoutout to Chef Appu, who served up the most delicious Sri Lankan rice and curry – full of authentic flavor and made with love! 🍛 The breakfasts were big and tasty, and every meal during our stay was exceptional – both in variety and quality. Definitely value for money! We also did a half-day Yala Safari, which was very well arranged and added a real adventure to our trip. 🐘🦚 Overall, this was a wonderful and memorable experience. I highly recommend Farm Villa Resort to anyone looking for comfort, great service, and a nature-filled escape in Kataragama. 💚
