The variety provided was amazing — from an assortment of creams, shampoos, and conditioners in the bathroom to a delightful breakfast selection of cereals, teas, marmalades, and more. Every detail seemed carefully considered, and it made us feel so welcome. Although we didn’t use it, the grill available for guests is a fantastic option for sunny days. Unfortunately, we had cloudy weather, but it didn’t dampen our experience. Instead, we cozied up in the bedroom and watched Netflix on the smart TV, which allowed us to log into our own account. We can wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone passing through Te Anau. It’s the perfect blend of comfort and hospitality — we couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

Guests can enjoy spectacular views of the towering peaks and waterfalls, and spot local wildlife, including seals and penguins, from the boat. One of the top things we did on our 5 week journey in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. Couldn’t recommend enough. It was so special to stay in the sound for a night, only our boat. We went kayaking and there was no one else there. Morning cruise when the sun was rising and we were the only boat there… will never forget this. When we come back, we’ll definitely book an overnight cruise again.
