Although we did not need 4 bedrooms, as my husband snores, having the use of 2 bedrooms was fabulous for respite on our 3 week South Island trip. The many heaters meant we did not have to use the coal/ wood fire which we used with ease on the first night but I was concerned about creating particulate pollution so we resorted to the excellent oil column heaters which heated up the place well. It is quiet despite being near the railway tracks and the washing was useful for our post tramping laundry which was easily dried on the line so although there is no dryer, none was needed. I appreciated the excellent communication from the proprietors. Their clear instructions made the trip seamless and stressfree.

Das Jackson's Retreat Alpine Holiday Park liegt in einem atemberaubenden historischen Regenwald und Wanderweg und bietet 5-Sterne-Unterkünfte mit Zugang zu einem Garten und einem Grill. Wir hatten die Kiwi-Cabin, mit gutem Doppelbett, Tisch und kleiner Terrasse davor. Bad und Küche waren gleich gegenüber, alles war sauber und gepflegt. Sehr freundlicher Manager, gute Atmosphäre. Glühwürmchen gibt's gratis dazu!
