Welcoming drinks at the arrival, sparkling wine at the room. Spacious room with huge bed and even bigger pillows. Free access to the natural pools. As pools were too cold for us, we enjoyed the jacuzzi zone on the hotel roof. Breakfast was nice, with many fruit options and a nice view. Good value for money.

The facilities were beautiful and absolutely spotless. The setting was unreal, I kept having to tell myself, this is real, it's not a photo.. The staff was so friendly and kind. And the breakfast was amazing. We will stay there again if we are ever able to travel again to Maderia.

Fantastic staff that makes you feel welcomed beyond measures, with tailored attentions and custom recommendations. They were really accomodating with our 2 year old, gifted us chocolate for Easter and designed a specific trip around the island for us. The bar at the top is super nice. Fantastic staff again, great cocktails and really good food. Cool music. The room was perfect for us, plenty of space. Great ammenities. Would 100% recommend and will come back there next time I'm on the island !

The rooms come with a flat-screen TV and tea/coffee making facilities. A balcony or patio are featured in certain rooms. Every room includes a private bathroom equipped with a shower. It's a small hotel in the historic center walking distance to a lot of the places you would like to see in Funchal. The room and facilities are simple, modern, comfortable, and clean, The staff are polite, friendly and very helpful. The breakfast (included in the room price) is basic but sufficient for my needs, with a variety of breads, cereal, cold cuts cheese, hardboiled eggs, yogurt, fruit, coffee/tea etc. The AC in the room worked well. I would happily stay here again if I returned to Funchal.

Boasting the most hours of sunshine in Madeira, Ponta Do Sol village is just minutes from the hotel and can be reached with free bikes. We were looking for somewhere special to celebrate our 20th anniversary, but didn’t want to stay in a big, impersonal hotel, and it was just what we had hoped. The hotel combines traditional with beautiful modern spaces, wonderful gardens and lots of secluded spots for guests to enjoy the peace and breathtaking views. Breakfast was delicious with hot options cooked to order, and the dining room staff were friendly and efficient. We had dinner at the hotel twice in the week we stayed and the food was of a high standard; eating out on the terrace was a highlight. We loved coming back to the pool after hiking or exploring the island, or to enjoy a drink on our balcony overlooking the ocean. Ponta do Sol itself is more peaceful than many other places on the south coast but has several good places to eat and a popular pub, so most evenings we were able to eat in the village without having to drive. The lifts were all working properly. The hotel’s location is perfect for exploring all parts of the island as it is very close to the road which runs up to the mountains and the north coast. Having an indoor pool and sauna to use when the weather was chilly was a bonus. We had an amazing holiday and will be back to explore more of this wonderful island, a week wasn’t nearly enough!
