Very well maintained property, quiet, friendly hosts, beautiful outside shower/bathroom, awesome breakfast with gluten-free options, we regretted having booked only one night, truly a wonderful place that we would recommend to anyone who wants comfort, tranquility and yet not far from the beautiful playa Carillo and the super cozy playa Samara, a topper !

With garden views, Mundo Milo Eco Lodge is located in Playa Junquillal and has a restaurant, a shared lounge, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace. What an incredible, laid back and relaxing place to spend your days on this side of Costa Rica. Lieke and Michael have managed to create a jungle-like oasis where I felt completely immersed in the natural environment on Guanacaste. Hearing the birds, monkeys and the ocean whilst lounging by the pool with a great restaurant and bar to the side made for the most relaxing getaway. The breakfast is superb and the staff is extremely friendly and diligent. Lieke and Michael were also extremely helpful in answering any questions and stopping by for a casual chat (given that solo travel can get lonely!). The atmosphere at Mundo Milo is so laid back that I didn’t once feel out of place sitting on my own, having a drink or reading my book!

We had a great stay and even extended! The hosts were so friendly and accommodating, the property was clean, we felt very safe, and the location was perfect for us. It’s a great place to enjoy nature while still keeping the beach/downtown area just a short drive away!

Hotel Bahia Esmeralda is 656 feet from the beach in Potrero, in Costa Rica’s Guanacaste region. It features a free Wi-Fi zone and rooms set in bungalow-style buildings around an outdoor pool. Just what we wanted, quiet, residential feel. Villas were perfect for my family: adults in one studio; kids in a 2br w sofa futon. Rooms were exactly as described. If there was a sofa bed, there was a sofa bed. The pool was nice. Luis the manager attentive & fair. The community has a real authentic feel- beach is a 3 block walk down the street. Best food in this town!! love the bakery about 500 m from the property. You’ve got to find it! Actual bagels and jalapeño cheese croissants. Amazing coffee everywhere. Ask housekeepers to do your laundry 🧺 for $15US a medium-lg bag.

Located along the beach, Hotel Playa Negra offers an outdoor pool and spacious beachfront restaurant and bar. Free WiFi is offered. The hotel has great location, right at the beach, surrounded by the palm trees and well looked after garden. We felt immediately disconnected. Ideal for people who search for some quiet time. There is nice restaurant with a beach view and pool. We enjoyed our stay so much. Hotel stuff are very friendly and looked after us really well. We would stay here again.
