Location was unreal. Bit of a trek to the property but well worth it. The staff were kind and helpful. Went Jungle trekking with Robin and Ivan, and they were both amazing. Food was delicious!

The bungalows are cosy and comfortable, located in a quiet area of forest away (but not too far) from the business of Bukit Lawang centre. There’s also a lovely river swimming spot just 5 min walk away! What made my time here the best was the kindness of Putra, Maya, and Fitraya. They are all lovely and make sure you feel at home. Not to mention, the food is amazing (especially the Chicken Rendang!) I did the 3 day 2 night trek with Putra and had such a fantastic time - he clearly knows a lot and cares for the jungle, it was such an awesome experience. Sawah Resto Bungalow & Jungle Trekking in Bukit Lawang provides accommodations with an open-air bath and a garden. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking, and free Wifi. Our stay here was amazing! The room is spacious, bed is comfortable, bathroom also nice and everything is clean. Also the room has a big balcony with incredible view. The staff was also great, we arranged everything we needed through them and it was not a problem. We also booked a one day jungle trek with them and it was excellent. Our guide Dani and his brother were good guides and also very nice people.

The location is far from the noisy city centre (this is a good thing). You get to breathe fresh air and enjoy a really calm environment. If you want to hike Mt Sibayak without a guide (yes, it is possible), you will be already closer to the trail. Easy to access by foot or bus (Kama buses from city centre).
