Our mini moon break straight from getting married and what a great choice we made. The perfect location for a family with young children, the park and beach a stone’s throw away. We had great weather too. The home was spacious and modern with amazing views and sunsets to see. We requested two travel cots in the accommodation and these looked brand new and like they had never been used! Great communication with fast response from Chad and family, both prior and during our stay, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you.
Good location, our room was upgraded to a suite which was nice. Comfy bed and hot shower.
The location is lovely. Right next to the lake and Ambleside Pier, amazing sunset view, you can just jump off the small jetty right in front of the hostel and swim in the lake. There is a water sport centre right next to the hostel too. Food in the restaurant was fair, price is reasonable, kids meal was only £1 (because we are staying in the hostel). Breakfast is good (kids is £1 only too).
We stayed for 5 nights and it was perfect. The setting was unbelievable watching the sunset every night in front of the fire pit. Very cozy! I would highly recommend a stay here. Perfect we as a family loved it

Set in beautiful surroundings, free parking, immaculate accommodation, comfortable beds, lovely hot shower, free wifi, serve food, and have an atmospheric bar to relax in after a long day sightseeing.
Situated in a picturesque country village, with a big living area for the kids to play and run about. Was well situated for us to explore the Lake District and visit the attractions that we had planned to go to, including the Wildlife Park, The Beatrix Potter Attraction and L&H Steam Railway. Couldn't recommend enough and hope to return again sometime to what our 2 and 4yr olds named "the holiday house".
