The units are equipped with heating facilities. The cabins look very cute. The beach was peaceful and relaxing. You can walk different trails in the campsite that will take you to beautiful views. The sauna was very nice too!

We had 3 of the yellow big houses and were able in the evenings to stay all together on the same terasse. I liked that it had two bedrooms and a good kitchen. Also that it had two beds together at ground level. They were a bit small, so I had to get used to it. Unfortunately these houses do not have the beautiful view to the lake as the red smaller houses, so you have to decide what is more important. Also, we were quite close to the mainstreet and on the other side seems to be an open air concert place. So on one day we had a lot of stong noise and then very loud music which only stopped at about 21:00. On the lake side this would be less annoying and loud. There was a small bathing place with sand and wood-steg just outside of the camping and inside of the camping is a playground. We liked this place!

Scenically located near the hill of Skutberget, right by Lake Vänern, this well-equipped camping and vacation village offers modern, comfortable cottages with excellent opportunities for outdoor recreation. Free WiFi is available. I booked one night in a cabin to extend our stay in Karlstad – to be honest I wish I had booked this place for all the three days we were there. The cabin was surprisingly large, immaculately clean, well equipped and the kids loved having their own rooms. It was the clear winner of all the places we stayed on this trip, and the coastline within a couple of minutes' walk is lovely with several wild swimming locations. The large terrace with table and chairs was super, too.
