The capsule hotel features certain units that include a safety deposit box, and every room is fitted with a shared bathroom with a bidet and a hairdryer. At Hostel Sui Kyoto the rooms are fitted with bed linen and towels.

Very nice interior design, clean, smells good (like a wellness salon), well equipped bathroom with good quality products (even curling irons!), they speak good english and are helpful and give you a warm welcome, all in all there is a certain vibe that makes you calm down while you are inside. One of the best hostels I've ever been to. +1: the Golden Pavilion is in walking distance so you can easily get ahead of the huuuge crowd by arriving right around the opening time, without having to wake up very early.

Looking for a pod hotel?

Developed in Japan, these cheap “pod” hotels are a novelty for any traveler. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodations are basic and intended to be overnight. There's separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms. Some capsule hotels also have a sentō – a Japanese bath house, usually for male guests only.
