The location of this property is perfect. Walking distance to the train station, and very near a big Migros grocery and Coop so you can pick up anything that you will need for your trip. Matt and his family were very accommodating. The view from the family room was gorgeous, we all loved walking up to that beautiful scenery. I highly recommend City Chalet to anyone who wants to spend time in Interlaken.

We were lucky to book in the first week it opened. Everything was new, clean and fresh! The apartment was filled with almost everything you need in addition to extra unexpected items such as kitchen appliances and cooking tools, coffee machine, modern wireless heaters, modern TVs, WiFi and most impressively was the Smart Electronic Toilet Seat which was a big Plus! Thanks to Christian and Carina for their exceptional hospitality, friendliness and attention to all these details in the well constructed apartment! I wish them good luck in keeping the place well maintained in the future!

The host is very thoughtful, the place was equipped with anything you imagine you might need during the stay, from towels to kitchen utensils to spices. We were pleasantly surprised at the attention to detail of the host to provide an incredible accommodation experience for the guests. There is a bus stop about 5mins walking distance and the place is very easy to find. If you like to walk, it’s about a 20min walk downhill to the Wilderswil train station where you can take the direct trains to Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald and Shynige Platte. Highly convenient. There is also 2 grocery stores near this station. We truly loved our stay and have zero complaints. Thank you to the host!!

We had a wonderful stay at this place. Upon arrival we got a free room upgrade, which was really nice of them! The hotel is pretty close to the train station. The room also had some tea and coffee stuff and a kettle, which was nice! The whole hotel has a unique character with old pictures hanging in the hallways (assuming of people who owned the place in the past?) and old but very functional fixtures. The dining area where breakfast is served is very spacious and wonderful from where you can look out into their rose garden which looks very pretty. We also found the breakfast buffet options at this place to be most varied among the places we stayed at in the region. Overall a wonderful experience!

We stayed at the Bruun/Schobi apartment which is on the top floor of the building. Is a spacious apartment for a family of 5. Styled as a classic chalet with wooden planks over the ceiling which I liked. Overall very cozy and warm feeling. Comfortable and well equipped kitchen. Beautiful lake and mountain views from both sides. Very convenient underground parking with elevator directly to the apartment. Very central location for all trips to the Alps region, close to Interlaken, Grindelwald, Lauterbrunen, etc,
