I stayed in Chalet Egglen for 4 days on our trip with my husband, daughter and parents. We were welcomed by Markus (AirBnb owner) and given a house tour with pamphlets and maps on the surroundings. As a local, he provided us some great tips on restaurants, where to go on a rainy day, how to navigate around etc. We did a bunch of research beforehand so we knew what exactly we wanted to do in Interlaken and surrounding areas, but you can not beat a local’s insight. The house was very clean, very well equipped and owner was very responsive. We had a few questions here and there and he was beyond helpful. He knew it was our 2-year daughter’s b’day and he even left a cake at our doorstep, going the extra mile to make our time lovely at his place. When you wake up the first thing you see is lake and mountains, the views are to die for. The neighborhood is so pretty. We were split between staying in Interlaken vs here, but so glad we picked this place. 15 min drive from Interlaken, 15 min drive from Thun – perfect location. We loved everything about this place and host. We travel a lot and have never stayed at a better house than this. I would highly recommend this property and Markus’ hospitality!

This place is fantastic. It's right in the city, so you can walk to places to eat and shop. The hosts are super nice. They made sure we were happy and comfortable throughout our stay. There's a river next to the property and the views of the snowy mountains are amazing. It's a great place to relax. The rooms are very cozy and clean. We had a great sleep every night. There's an Indian grocery store and Indian restaurant nearby which is very handy. In short, this place has it all - a great location, friendly hosts, beautiful views, and comfortable rooms. Highly recommend it!
