Beautiful grounds and area. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

We are looking forward to returning to Rinconcito Lodge! The whole place is comfortable, we liked our junior mountain suite very much, the staff friendly and helpful, food is very good with an easy-going schedule so we only ate two meals a day, perfect for us. The nesting colony of montezuma oropendola birds at the entrance is amazing! Westayed 4 nights And I’m glad we did. This allowed us to rest one day, then took the combo tour on our second day - Horseback ride into the Santa Maria part of the park, wonderful fun and private uncrowded zip line tour with our guides Jose and Ronald, and continued further into the park on horse guided by Terencio who took us deeper into the park eventually on foot to the warm springs river and waited very patiently while we had lunch there and enjoyed the warm waters. he even helped us with the mud. our third day we drove ourselves into the Pailas sector of the park and did our own hiking tour. Rinconcito is a peaceful place with no pressure. as far as we can tell the rooms are all very nice with a range of qualities from smaller rooms close together to the more separate mountain suites that we stayed in. oh a great trail on the property to a waterfall we swam under too.

Well kept grounds with small pool. Room was basic but comfortable. Had a common area with tables right outside our rooms. Great breakfast for reasonable price. Andre helped us with all our transportation needs.

Such a nice place and nice people! Owners Pierre and his wife were very nice, Pierre a real gentleman. Most of our interactions were with the property managers, Francisco and Veronica. What can we say?! So warm and so hospitable, so helpful and innumerable laughs with Francisco. We didn't have a car, so Francisco picked us up from and dropped us at Liberia; also provided us with transportation to Rincon de la Vieja NP for 3 days. Francisco was very reliable, always on time and the costs were very reasonable. Large, tasty breakfast (eggs, gallo pinto, sausage and toast) with a pitcher of great fresh mixed fruit juice! Grounds and surroundings were a mix of nice gardens and natural forest - so many Neotropical birds! We definitely hope to be back someday!

The environment and the way it all looked so natural and authentic. From the cabins to the common areas, it was truly a great way to start my trip. I loved the staff they were so sweet, and kind. I really enjoyed the costa rican dishes at the restaurant. I cant truly express how beautiful and peaceful this place is. Definitely recommend!
