Heavy rain required us to stay in our room and read for the day (we planned on a full day hike at Glen Affric). We couldn't have been more comfortable under the disappointing circumstances. The owners brought us some treats as well. Very lovely, homey place. Bird feeders right outside our window with a variety of birds enjoying the weather.

The location was excellent, it's a great hub for getting out and exploring the highlands. There were so many nice little touches too that made it feel very warm and welcoming. We brought our dog and we're very happy to see that the cabins garden is completely enclosed, which was reassuring when letting him out in the dark.

The property we were in was the Mountain View cottage it was lovely & cosy and very well equipped. The hosts left a welcome basket with essentials and some treats which was a lovely surprise and very good idea. Location was very quiet despite there being other cottages close by.

    We stayed at the cabin for the weekend and had a brilliant time! The cabin is very cosy and comfortable with everything you need provided. The little extras of snacks and drinks were ideal and we made use of the baskets full of different board games and quizzes. This was such an ideal and peaceful spot, perfect for a quiet weekend escape but the ideal driving distance from lots of activities and Fort Augustus. After checking out we had breakfast in the Jaggy Thistle Food Stop which was so delicious!

    The Cabin was very cozy and nice. :) essentials are there and Fort Augustus is a cute little town just 5 minutes away. The hosts are very very nice and have a lot of recommendations for the area. :) (ask them about the best pizza place!)
