Babakan is spectacular! Everything from the view, the kindness of the hosts, to the exceptional level of cleanliness at the villa. This was my favorite place that I stayed during my three weeks traveling through Bali. The hosts work tirelessly from before sunrise to well after sundown to make the stay at this villa extraordinary. The daily cleaning of the villa and patio area was immaculate. The shower had the perfect hot water, the bedding was crisp and clean white linens, and the view was extraordinary!

Despite my last very minute booking (literally 15 minutes before arrival) the host did everything to arrange the place in time and provide me with everything I needed. Great dinner which was delivered from Italian/Mexican restaurant and a good breakfast too. Outstanding view of the river valley and distant rice fields.

We had a perfect two nights stay at this accomodation. Located in a prime location in the valley next to the river, surrounded by rice fields, this is a perfect peaceful getaway. Lush green trees and mountains all around, the view is spectacular. Nestled at the end of classic jungle, rough bali roads - the challenge to get there is part of the charm. Nyoman was an amazing host, incredibly friendly, cooked us a delicious balinese breakfast each morning and was so helpful. Just a 10-20min scooter ride to some waterfalls, restaurants and other main parts of Sideman. Uses starlink wifi so very helpful. Cute little plunge pool to cool off. Absolutely worth the price.

Everything & Everyone!!! This place really felt like Home for me … If I didn’t have anything lined up in another city, I would’ve stayed another two nights . Definitely got a lot spiritual healing here. The Grounds are sooo peaceful! I LOVE how nestled in we are in a remote private heart! From learning how to cook Balinese cuisine…. My Chakara massage… YOGA.. My Gosh, my body mind and soul really needed it. I’m definitely coming back to Bali and staying here. My cottage bungalow was beautiful. Oh & the Foooood!! OMG! Let’s just say I don’t think I’m going to fit in my bikini :-)

The staff were very friendly. The location was beautiful in the middle of the rice fields. There was a good selection of food for good prices (very good vanilla milkshakes). The rental scooters were quite new and comfortable to drive. The room/villa was a good size and also quite comfortable, ours included a private 'balcony' to sit on.

Stunning location overlooking rice fields. This is why we chose this homestay. The bungalow is secluded and surrounded with trees you feel.like you are in the middle of the jungle, I loved listening to all the jungle sounds, birds, insects, foliage. Comfy beds , good airco and a large bathtub with the same great view. Be aware that you really need a scooter to get around as the property is located high up on ridge on top of a steep road with hairpin bends. As we didn't rent one and like hiking , we walked to the Sidemen ricefields and took a Grab car back (seems there are a few now in Sidemen). No restaurants close by but the owner, Kadek, offered to get food from a nearby restaurant.
