United KingdomTausa Tsavo Eco Lodge is a great location if you're looking for a stop over en route to Nairobi or Mombasa round Voi as it's just a few minutes off the main road. We stayed 2 nights as our plan was to visit Tsavo East Park. The lodge is not long opened. The spacious and airy makuti roofed restaurant is very pleasant ste in the garden which will be more lovely year by year. We had two tasty breakfasts and dinners there. Thank you Esther and Benson for your attentive and prompt table service. And all the staff are warm, friendly and welcoming. The rooms are also spacious, comfortable and simple. They overlook the nearby hills. .
The lodge arranged our all day game drive in Tsavo East. We had a great time and we were so lucky, seeing two lion prides and a wallowing elephant. But the highlight was the team of driver/guide David and ranger/ guide Devlan. David took.his time driving through the park so we could spot the game and spend as much time as we liked when we spotted something. Devlan is so very knowledgeable about birds and when we couldn't see the birds he was able to tell us what was nearby by identifying their songs. It was fantastic. If you are a birder I highly recommend Devlan as your guide We've been on many game drives and this was one of the best, not high end, so enjoyable.very. So if you're looking for a great pocket friendly option for a game drive you couldn't do any better.
