Silver Hill is a truly enchanting destination that we wholeheartedly recommend to nature-loving travelers seeking a blend of comfort, culture, and exceptional Sri Lankan hospitality. Originally, we booked for just one night, but we were so captivated that we extended our stay to 3 days. We were charmed by the simple yet spacious and immaculate cottages. For those seeking a unique experience, you can even sleep outdoors on the comfortable mattresses provided on the terrace—a rare opportunity that’s not possible in the UK. There are no mosquitoes, and the weather is really comfortable. Warm but not too hot or cold. In addition to these remarkable qualities, our stay was enriched by numerous activities suitable for our children. Jagath, known for his hard work, friendliness, and generosity, guided us on a jungle hike to a hilltop temple. We explored a nearby village untouched by tourist influence, took part daily in the preparation of Sri Lankan dishes and breakfast, and even tried our hand at making roti. This immersive experience allowed us to gain profound insights into Sri Lankan culture, traditions, and cuisine, all within an eco-friendly and sustainable paradise. I had a wonderful stay here! The location is perfect, very convenient for exploring Kandy city. The food was delicious and the manager was specially helpful, ensuring everything was smooth and enjoyable. Beautiful garden added a peaceful and relaxing touch to the stay. For us it was an amazing week that we did not expect the peace of the place, and the ease of getting around. Asela drove us to Kandy any time, we didn't know is was so close, and the drive so easy. It was actually nicer for us to be out of the city and Ascela took us around at a very low cost, we used messaging and always on time to meet us. Restaurants are interesting in town but we enjoyed eating at the home-stay because the food was very very good & healthy, such a beautiful place to look over the valley & their own vegetable & herb garden! We liked going on walks, magnificent views, and Asela actually gave us a little hiking tour! In Kandy, there are tourists like us- at Tedro we had privacy, but also felt part of the community when we took walks. There is a TV but we never used it. We will be back, some day, and we do recommend this precious experience to anyone that wants good food, good sleep (the bed is great, view is really nice) access to town& the sights. In fact, we ended up going on a longer excursion to Siguria with Asela as our driver! He kindly got us there and back safeley, and gave us a lot of space for personal privacy as we did our own exploring. He is a very good guide and his family - downstairs from the room & porches - is respectful.

Small hotel with 3 studio type apartments. But the service is pro level. Clean rooms with attached bathrooms, comfortable beds, separate TV lounge, small kitchenette, full size refrigerator, some cutlery and crockery. Riverside view is the other key point here. i got to know that it's the longest river in Sri Lanka "Mahaweli River". I definitely reserve this hotel for my next visit to Sri Lanka. Overall it was an amazing stay. Thank you so much for your service.
